THE WINDOW MIRROR

Sit now and stare lip lashing tongue flutter
In the eye a whirlwind of thoughts spin and sway
they say much more than mentionable
Audible to the ear
"give in" howls disappointment's storm
Disconnect lines of positive hope
Plaque grays stained with nicotine truths blow
"A mother's love is all you'll know"

Hate eyes blue yellow streaked glare
Behind darkness and watch window gather drops
Consume growth ravage greens and sweep away
Colours left to wither brown in specks of sunshine
Joy can not be seen now
Confusion clouds conclusions

Close the bedroom curtains collecting broken glass
Splinters cut deep into the reflected soul's cry
-No one is to see the heart bleed
Tears of hot fury bolt lighting sadness
Pain shrieks wild still in bed's supposed comforts
Transformed into cold concrete sheets walls prison.
Memories flood mind drenching
Emotions pour out slivers' scrape and scare

Should the morning's yawn forget
storm's paved path now barren
Fate void except boredom's emptiness
No crowning glories cling to ruins
The only companion desolate days dawn

Open the curtains and count the torn pictures
Broken frames glassed tinsel floor
Flood feelings face fact
Clouding conclusion confusion's answers lack

Eye the storm's window mirror reflection calming
with transparent breeze question
Has this made you stronger
