With moonlight we talked of tears
until sun's breaking dawn
Then sharing fears we cried once more
We cried once more
Tired and half asleep
Our eyelids fail
Sunlight crept a yellowie path to our brains
Empty cigarette packs towered to our knees
Smoke upon smoke
We haunted away our sleepy hours
Being friends with comforting thoughts
With caressing glances
We wiped away each others tears
We sheltered each other from the horrors
Of being lost and lonely souls
