Red Dogma (1983-1984)
Red Dogma was formed in 1983 in Washington by Thomas Conley, who was part of DC's Umbra poetry group, throwing down avant-garde roots in neo-communist laced soil. Its members were Tom, Jenny, Ron, Alfred and Andy. With Jenny on the lead mike, they were a scene favorite at DC SPACE, the now vanquished benchmark club of the 1980s underground scene then located at the corner of 7th & E Streets in northwest DC. Red Dogma was Andy's first real band, but the group folded when Tom Conley & Jenny Greensil married and headed for Australia.
